The illustrious, but often ignored, Giovanni Battista Belzoni, who inspired George Lucas and Steven Spielberg to create the character of Indiana Jones, is presented in a witty theatrical performance aimed at youngsters.
The show sets out to highlight the intelligence, enquiring mind, practical and diplomatic skill, courage, adventure-loving spirit and creativity of a son of Padua whose name is well-known locally more because of the school and street named after him than because of his exciting life and the great discoveries he made that marked the beginning of modern archaeology.
The cultural organisation I FANTAGHIRÒ, established in 1979, works in particular on theatre education. The group’s performances, which focus on themes linked to the sphere of child development such as play, fear, friendship and relationships with others, aim to bridge the generations while also entertaining. In addition to theatrical performances, since 1982 the group has been running animation workshops designed with a strong focus on nurturing young people’s imaginations and their relationship skills.
